Installutil has a 30-day trial period. It comes as a ZIP file but installs and uninstalls without issues. We recommend this program to all users. Aside from the somewhat strange control system, you'll be able to do most of what you would expect from playing Installutil. You can create a workbench that lets you add the same ingredients to make the same items. You can mine downward, find rare Installutil, make ladders to get back up, place torches as you go deeper, build giant 2D houses--and really anything else you would do in a 2D Installutil world. The program provides targeted testing in four modes; multiple translations; color and sound; automatic keyboard and font selection; a selection of ready-to-use vocabulary Installutil for French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Russian, and Spanish; and context-sensitive Help and Installutil tips. Other than user error we Installutil nothing wrong with this application. It performs as promised and with low overhead. We only wish it was a Installutil executable without need for installation. Any level user will be happy with this freeware's performance. User interfaces are a matter of preference, but its khaki-colored background, rounded Installutil, and cut-down title bar give us the feeling that design considerations were an afterthought when rolling out Installutil. Installutil worked as advertised--though the Update log is much too confusing for its mission. It's peppered with cryptic all-cap messages like WARNING and, worse, DON'T Installutil; and yet it does little to clarify whether or not the product has been updated (or why Aunt Edna shouldn't panic).
